Jürgen Reiß, born 1966, studied law and Romance languages from 1989 until 1993. After graduating and completing the internship term with the German bar exam in 1995 he practised law in Bologna (Italy). Since he established the law firm in 1996, when he also was sworn in as interpreter for the Italian language, he practices as an Italian interpreter and translator and as an Italian and German attorney in Frankfurt/Main and Bologna. In 2001 he was sworn in at the State Court of Bologna. In 2003 he received his JD in German-Italian bank law from the University of Heidelberg. Beginning with the academic year 2003 he is lecturing on international private law for master students at the University of Bologna. Since 2006 he is also lecturing for post graduate students on real estate law at the University of Muenster. He has authored numerous articles, essays and books, especially on Italian law.
